2026 Tata Tiago ICE and EV Revealed Ahead of Launch – New Design, More Features & Better Tech

Tata Motors has officially revealed the updated 2026 Tata Tiago and Tiago EV ahead of their launch in India. Both models come with noticeable design changes, updated interiors, and a few new features to keep them fresh in the competitive hatchback segment. The company is aiming to make the Tiago lineup more modern and appealing for both petrol and electric car buyers.

On the outside, the new Tata Tiago gets a refreshed front design with a sharper-looking grille, redesigned bumper, and updated LED lighting elements. The changes give the hatchback a more premium and sporty appearance compared to the current model. Tata has also added new alloy wheel designs and fresh colour options to enhance the overall look.

The Tiago EV also receives similar cosmetic updates but gets a few EV-specific styling touches to help it stand out from the regular petrol version. The closed-off grille design, new accents, and aerodynamic tweaks give the electric hatchback a cleaner and more futuristic appearance.

Inside the cabin, Tata has updated the dashboard layout and added a larger touchscreen infotainment system with improved connectivity features. The cabin now looks more modern and user-friendly. The company is also expected to offer features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, connected car technology, and a premium sound system in higher variants.

In terms of safety, Tata is likely to continue offering features such as six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking camera, electronic stability control, and TPMS in selected variants. The Tiago has already built a strong reputation for safety, and the updated version is expected to carry that forward.

Mechanically, the petrol-powered Tata Tiago is expected to continue with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine, available with both manual and AMT gearbox options. Tata may also continue offering the CNG version for buyers looking for lower running costs.

The Tiago EV is expected to retain its existing battery pack options but could receive small improvements in range and software optimization. It will continue targeting city buyers who want an affordable and practical electric car for daily use.
