MG Motor has officially launched the new Majestor SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 40.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The new SUV is positioned as a premium and powerful offering in the company’s lineup and is expected to compete with popular full-size SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, and Skoda Kodiaq.
The MG Majestor comes with a bold and muscular design that gives it a strong road presence. At the front, the SUV gets a large grille, sleek LED DRLs, split headlamp setup, and a redesigned bumper that adds to its premium look. The rear section also looks modern with connected LED tail lamps and sporty styling elements.
Inside the cabin, MG has focused heavily on comfort and technology. The SUV gets a large touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, premium upholstery, ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, and connected car features. The cabin design looks modern and spacious, making it suitable for family use as well as long-distance travel.
The Majestor is also expected to offer advanced safety features, including multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and Level 2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane assist, and automatic emergency braking.
Under the hood, the SUV is likely to use a powerful diesel engine paired with an automatic gearbox. MG may also offer both 2WD and 4WD options depending on the variant. The focus appears to be on delivering a balance of performance, comfort, and highway capability.
