Mahindra has launched its new electric SUV, the XUV 3XO EV, in India. It is available in two variants – AX5 priced at ₹13.89 lakh and AX7L priced at ₹14.96 lakh (ex-showroom). This model replaces the older XUV400 in Mahindra’s electric lineup and directly competes with the Tata Nexon.ev in the Indian market.

On the outside, the XUV 3XO EV looks quite similar to the petrol-powered version but carries a cleaner, EV-style design. It features a closed front grille, stacked LED headlamps and stylish C-shaped LED DRLs that give it a modern and distinctive look.
Inside, the cabin feels premium and tech-focused. The SUV comes with twin 10.25-inch displays – one for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system. It also offers a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control and a 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with Dolby Atmos. Mahindra has also added over 80 connected car features, including remote vehicle control, vehicle status monitoring, trip summaries, smartwatch connectivity and much more.
In terms of safety and technology, the XUV 3XO EV is well-equipped. It features Level 2 ADAS, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Smart Pilot Assist and Automatic Emergency Braking. It also gets a 360-degree camera, six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Powering the SUV is a 39.4 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that produces 148 BHP and 310 Nm of torque. Mahindra claims that it is the quickest EV in its segment, with a 0–100 km/h time of just 8.3 seconds. On a full charge, the XUV 3XO EV can deliver a driving range of up to 285 km.
