Mahindra Releases Another Teaser for the XEV 9S; Launch Set.
Mahindra is continuously building excitement around its upcoming three-row electric SUV, the XEV 9S. In the latest teaser, the company has officially confirmed a major design update — the SUV will now feature stacked headlamps. This design was previously seen on the XUV.e8 in 2022 and later on the leaked XEV 7S in 2024.
Modern Interior With Premium Features
Earlier teasers have already revealed a lot about the cabin. The XEV 9S will come with:
- A triple-screen dashboard setup
- All-black interior theme
- A premium control layout
These features give the SUV a very modern and high-end feel. However, Mahindra has still not revealed the third row of seats. Since this is the company’s first three-row electric SUV, it will be interesting to see how they manage to fit the third-row seating along with the battery pack without compromising space and comfort.
Part of the Born-Electric Lineup
The Mahindra XEV 9S will be the third model in Mahindra’s Born Electric lineup, joining the XEV 9e and BE 6. It is also expected that the XEV 9S will share its powertrain setup with these models.
Launch Date, Expected Price, and Rivals
The India launch is confirmed for November 27.
The expected price range is between ₹21 lakh and ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Once launched, the XEV 9S will compete directly with models like:
- Tata Harrier EV
- BYD eMAX 7
