This new HTE (EX) trim sits above the HTE (O) variant and is offered as a 7-seater. A key highlight is that it is the first 1.5-litre petrol Carens Clavis to come with a sunroof, making it more attractive for family buyers. Other useful features include automatic climate control, auto up/down function for the driver’s power window, LED cabin lights, LED DRLs, and position lamps.

In terms of engine options, the Carens Clavis HTE (EX) offers plenty of choice. The regular 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 113 BHP and 144 Nm. For those who want more power, there is a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 158 BHP and 253 Nm. Buyers can also opt for a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which makes 114 BHP and 250 Nm.

Overall, the new HTE (EX) variant adds more comfort and features to the Carens Clavis lineup, while giving buyers multiple engine options to suit different driving needs.
