Mahindra has launched the updated version of the XUV700 – and it now has a new name: XUV 7XO.
Prices start at ₹13.66 lakh (ex-showroom), and these are introductory prices for the first 40,000 customers. Bookings open on January 14.
The XUV 7XO goes up against cars like the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, and Hyundai Alcazar.

The XUV 7XO gets a bold new look while still keeping the XUV700’s style.
It now has:
- a new front grille
- updated LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs
- new alloy wheels
- connected LED tail-lamps and a new rear bumper

Inside, the SUV gets a new two-tone cabin inspired by the XEV 9e. Highlights include:
- triple-screen setup
- 2-spoke steering wheel
- touch-based climate control
- panoramic sunroof
- 16-speaker Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos
- dual-zone climate control
- ventilated front seats with “Boss Mode”
- wireless charger and more
Same engines, smoother ride
The XUV 7XO continues with the same engines:
- 2.0-litre turbo-petrol
- 2.0-litre diesel
Both come with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.
AWD is available on higher variants, and Mahindra says the updated suspension offers a more comfortable ride.
Safety tech Mahindra XUV 7XO
The SUV also packs in advanced safety features like:
- 540-degree camera
- Level 2 ADAS
- adaptive cruise control
- lane keep assist
- automatic emergency braking
