After being quiet in the Indian market for several years, Nissan is finally preparing a strong comeback in 2026. The brand plans to expand its current single-car lineup to three models by the end of next year, with another model expected in 2027.

The Nissan Gravite will be Nissan’s version of the Renault Triber and is expected to be revealed in January 2026, with prices announced a couple of months later.
While the Gravite will share its platform with the Triber, Nissan is likely to give it a slightly different look. Expect updated bumpers, new lighting elements, and redesigned alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, Nissan may offer new colour themes and trims, though most features will remain similar to the Triber.
In terms of performance, the Gravite is expected to use the same 1.0-litre petrol engine producing around 72hp. Buyers will likely get manual and AMT gearbox options, making it a practical and budget-friendly family car.
Nissan Tekton [Midsize SUV]
Expected launch: Second half of 2026
Estimated price: ₹11 lakh – ₹19 lakh (ex-showroom)
The Nissan Tekton will be the brand’s most important launch in years. Based on the new Renault Duster platform, the Tekton is expected to arrive around mid-2026 and will compete with popular SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Tata Sierra, and others.
Design-wise, the Tekton is likely to take inspiration from Nissan’s flagship Patrol SUV. It may feature a bold grille, sharp body lines, and distinctive C-shaped styling elements, giving it a strong road presence.
Under the hood, Nissan is expected to offer a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine, similar to the upcoming Duster. Reports also suggest that a hybrid version could be added later, which would help Nissan appeal to fuel-conscious buyers.
