Mini Aceman Likely to Launch in India in 2026

Mini is planning to bring the Mini Aceman electric SUV to India in 2026. After launching several new models in 2025, the brand is now preparing its next electric offering for the Indian market. The Aceman will sit between the Mini Cooper and the Mini Countryman in Mini’s global lineup and will be sold only as an electric vehicle.

In India, the Mini Aceman is expected to become the most affordable Mini electric car, positioned below the Countryman Electric. However, it is likely to arrive as a fully imported model, which could make it expensive. The Aceman is built on an extended version of the same platform used by the electric Mini Cooper sold in international markets.

What is the Mini Aceman?

The Mini Aceman made its global debut in April 2024 at the Beijing Motor Show. It is an all-new model and is currently the only Mini sold exclusively as an EV. While it is based on the Cooper hatchback, the Aceman is bigger and more practical.

Compared to the Cooper, the Aceman is:

• Longer, wider, and taller
• Has a longer wheelbase
• Comes with four doors, making it more family-friendly

Despite the added size, the Aceman still looks like a proper Mini. It does not feel too large or bulky like the Countryman and keeps Mini’s sporty and stylish design.

Battery, Power, and Range

Internationally, the Mini Aceman is available with two battery options:

• 38.5kWh battery (E variant)
  • 184hp and 290Nm
  • Claimed range of up to 309km
• 49.2kWh battery (SE variant)
  • 218hp and 330Nm
  • Claimed range of up to 405km

There is also a sporty JCW (John Cooper Works) version with the larger battery. It produces 258hp and can accelerate from 0–100km/h in just 6.4 seconds.

Design and Interior

The Mini Aceman looks slightly more aggressive than the Cooper. It gets:

• Sharper headlamps
• Squared wheel arches
• Rectangular LED tail-lamps

What makes it stand out are the rugged body cladding, chunky bumpers, and roof rails, giving it a mini-SUV feel.

Inside, the Aceman follows the new Mini design theme and features a large circular OLED touchscreen, along with a modern and premium cabin layout.

Manufacturing and India Launch

At present, the Mini Aceman is manufactured in China and exported to global markets. From early 2026, production will also begin in the UK. Mini has not yet confirmed which variant will be launched in India or its pricing details.
