The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder gets some helpful new tech features and upgraded camera systems. But it still uses the same V6 engine, and there’s no hybrid option yet. Prices now start just under $40,000, which is about $1,100 more than before.
Driving the new Pathfinder shows both its good and bad sides. It fits well in the midsize SUV segment with plenty of space, seating for up to seven people, a nice interior, and an adventurous Rock Creek version. The biggest changes are inside. The central touchscreen grows from 9 inches to 12.3 inches. The volume knob now sits below the screen, but the tuning knob has been removed. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard on all versions.
Higher trims get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, while lower trims use analog gauges with a small display -both setups work well. There’s also a stronger wireless phone charger, though the MagSafe puck might get in the way for phones that don’t support it.
Nissan also added two smart camera views. One is a wide 180-degree front view, great for seeing past parked cars or tight spaces. The other is an “invisible hood” view that shows what’s under the front of the vehicle by reading the road ahead and projecting it on the screen.
Inside, materials look more premium, especially in the Platinum trim with quilted leather and new wood-style accents.
