MG India has launched the 2026 MG Hector facelift with a starting price of ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, introductory). This is good news for buyers, as the new Hector is ₹2.1 lakh cheaper than the previous model. The Hector Plus 7-seater has also been introduced, with prices starting at ₹17.29 lakh, while prices for the 6-seater version will be announced later.

What’s New in the 2026 MG Hector Facelift?
Exterior Updates
The overall size of the Hector remains the same, but MG has made some noticeable design changes. The front grille now features a new honeycomb-style pattern, replacing the older diamond design. The front air dam, 18-inch alloy wheels, and rear bumper have also been refreshed. However, the lighting setup remains unchanged, including the split headlamps and the LED light strip connecting the tail-lamps.
MG has also added two new paint options — Celadon Blue and Pearl White. These join Aurora Silver, Starry Black, and Glaze Red, taking the total colour choices to five.
Interior and Features
Inside the cabin, the 5-seater Hector now gets a dual-tone Ice Grey interior, while the 6- and 7-seater Hector Plus comes with a tan-coloured dual-tone cabin.
The highlight inside is the updated 14-inch portrait-style touchscreen, which now supports MG’s iSwipe touch gesture control. With this feature, passengers can adjust the air-conditioning using two fingers and control audio with three fingers, making it easier to use while driving.
Other features remain the same and include a 7-inch digital driver display, ventilated front seats, 6-way power-adjustable driver seat, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, PM 2.5 air purifier, push-button start/stop, and a 360-degree camera.

Engine and Gearbox Options
The engine options remain unchanged from the previous model. The petrol version continues with a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 143hp and 250Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox or a CVT automatic.
The diesel version, which will be launched later, is expected to use the same 2.0-litre engine producing 170hp and 350Nm. While the current diesel model is available only with a manual gearbox, MG may consider adding an automatic option in the future.
In short words
With lower prices, refreshed styling, and new tech features, the 2026 MG Hector facelift offers better value than before. It continues to focus on comfort, space, and features, making it a strong option in the midsize SUV segment.
